Photovoltaic plants, high-voltage lines and pipelines usually extend over enormous areas. Especially high-voltage cables and pipelines are often difficult to access and hence, inspections take a long time.
Each year an average of 200,000 residential fires occur in Germany alone. This implies that on average every two minutes a fire ignites. Not only residential fires are devastating. At least as bad, if not worse, are industrial and forest fires as these can be difficult to contain and to control due to the surface.
Another aspect is the rescue of wild animals. In Germany, for example, the loss of wild animals due to agriculture is conservatively estimated at 500,000 individuals, of which about 90,000 reefs. The animals often hide in the high grass because they are looking for shelter and feel safe in this area. This is, however, rarely positive for the animals when the mowing season starts.
