Capra Hircus: Versatile robot platform
Capra, an innovative robotics company from Denmark, is aiming to facilitate repetitive or dangerous areas of work with their automated driving robots. The Capra Hircus then is a platform that is easy to integrate into your workflow and offers a variety of possible use cases: ranging from monitoring to different logistic scenarios and smart city applications.
The mobile robot can automatically follow a predefined path, relying on GNSS, odometry (its own speed and orientation) and visual recognition of features from cameras (VSLAM). It is reliable even in harsh environments as it is IP65 water-, wind, dust- and snowproof and can climb slopes and curbs.
Alone or in combination with our drones, Hircus is highly dependable and adaptable.
For multimodal setups
Due to its patented wheel frame and the AWD design, the Hircus is applicable in urban to rural settings, able to navigate on various surfaces, climb curbs and traverse obstacles.
Using common interfaces and communication standards, drones and driving robots are able to solve tasks independently or in cooperation in a network. They communicate via and with a control centre as well as with each other.
