Today, many scenarios can be excellently managed with unmanned aerial systems and can make the working world safer, more cost-effective and more efficient in the process. Whether you want to map an area, inspect wind turbines for damage or monitor large industrial plants for safety reasons – with our drones you have an excellent solution at hand.
Large, tall or otherwise difficult-to-reach buildings and structures such as wind turbines, solar plants or bridges need to be regularly inspected and checked for damage. Until now, this was often done with heavy equipment, such as lifting platforms or helicopters, or specially trained personnel, for example climbing teams for industrial inspections. Inspections have therefore often been time-consuming and expensive.
Drones can save time and costs. In addition, the risk for personnel is significantly reduced, as direct human intervention is no longer necessary in dangerous situations. By integrating high-resolution cameras or special sensors, high-quality images and data can be collected, quickly analysed and archived.
Thanks to automation, inspections can be regularly planned and carried out, making workflows much simpler. The use of special technology allows further application scenarios, e.g. in the field of thermography.
Mapping large areas or creating three-dimensional, detailed images are no problem with drones using photogrammetry or LiDar scanners. Drones can quickly and precisely create 3D or 2D models of land areas, buildings or other objects.
This opens up a wide range of applications, for example for precise planning in the construction industry, inventories and regular checks of environmental changes or completely new future use cases in the sense of the industrial metaverse. Drones for agriculture are also conceivable and can help to precisely plan the cultivation of fields.
The possibilities of surveying and mapping by drone are shown by our successfully completed project DUBGEM: Here, old uranium mining areas were surveyed and documented with the help of a special sensor for measuring radioactive radiation. Drone use here not only provides accurate data, but also prevents people from having to expose themselves to potential hazards.
Drones are the perfect tool to keep track of the situation in case of an emergency. They are ready for immediate use and easy to operate. For example, drones can provide rapid relief in disaster management and support rescue teams with live footage.
Likewise, large and poorly manageable areas can be systematically monitored. Changes or dangers can be detected more quickly and precisely from the air. Here, too, drones offer cost-effective and efficient alternatives to conventional methods. This makes them a practical solution for e.g. environmental protection.
